A free guide from Garden Vision — the foundation of partnering with nature starts here, written by a Certified Professional Horticulturist with more than 30 years guiding homeowner gardens
No commitment — just clarity.
A beautiful, sustainable garden doesn’t just change your yard — it changes how you feel.
Research shows that everyday exposure to “greenness” is associated with lower stress, better sleep, improved mood, and even reduces long-term health risks.

The Replanting Cycle — Buying and replanting, season after season
You find a plant you love, bring it home, and tend to it carefully. When it doesn’t take, you try again, because you’re not someone who gives up on their garden. But without knowing your soil, drainage, and site conditions, even the most determined homeowner is working against the odds.
The Chemical Fix — Herbicides, pesticides, and home brews
The weeds and pests don’t stop — so neither do you.
Sure, that can quiet things down for a season, but it addresses symptoms rather than causes. And those treatments quietly damage the soil ecosystem you’ll need when you’re ready to grow something beautiful.
The Information Search — YouTube, forums, and garden center advice
You go looking for answers — and you find them, in pieces. A YouTube video for the drainage question, a Facebook group thread for the soil amendment question, a garden center employee for the plant selection question. Useful in the moment, but nothing connects. Without a framework organized around how your garden works, every question leads to more questions — and the confidence you’re looking for stays just out of reach.
Understanding a garden as a living community
doesn’t happen overnight. It is grown through the seasons.
The Academy is built around one belief:
a garden thrives when you understand how it works — and make thoughtful choices at each phase of the Garden for Life Roadmap.
The only question is where on the Roadmap you begin.
The foundation — resources and community to keep you learning and growing.
Everything in Seedling, plus monthly live sessions to keep you connected and learning.
Everything in Cultivator, plus dedicated 1:1 time with Kate throughout the year.
Founding-member pricing at launch.
The Academy is being planted — opening soon.
Membership isn’t open just yet. Founding members walk in first, at founding-member pricing, when the garden is ready to bloom.

Your Garden Wishes deserve a design that’s co-created with you, grounded in your site, and yours to grow.
The Academy isn’t open just yet, but your garden’s questions don’t wait.
Begin with one conversation. I’d love to hear your garden story.

Welcome home.
The Library is your first stop: curated guides, how-tos, and best practices built around the Garden for Life Roadmap, right where you need them.
But when a guide doesn’t cover your specific situation — your soil, your slope, your particular Garden Woe — bring your question to the Community Conversation Room. We’ll explore options and get back to you. You won’t be left at a dead end.
No matter where you start — Seedling, Cultivator, or Steward — the promise is the same: there’s always somewhere to turn, and someone who knows what they’re talking about will answer.
Join the Garden for Life Community –
Stewards for Earth
You can join at any point on your garden journey. Garden Vision Academy is built around the Garden for Life Roadmap — which means it works whether you’re starting from scratch, in mid-project, or stepping into something already planted. No prior Garden Vision experience required. Just a garden (outside or inside) and some questions.
Both can be useful. The Academy is different in kind, not just degree. YouTube and forums give you more content than you can act on — and no organizing framework to tell you what matters for your garden right now. The Academy is organized around the Garden for Life Roadmap: what you’re learning connects to the phase you’re in, the season you’re observing, the question in front of you. Understanding grows. When that question is specific to your soil, your slope, or your particular Garden Woe, the Community Conversation Room puts it in front of an award-winning landscape designer — not a comment section.
